At Dyslexia Leicester, we provide comprehensive assessments for dyslexia to identify the specific needs of each learner. We ensure that each assessment is thorough and tailored to the individual, allowing for accurate support and intervention strategies. We believe that understanding a learner's unique profile is crucial for effective teaching.
Before the assessment, relevant information will be gathered through phone or email conversations, along with questionnaires completed by individuals, parents, or schools. This process plays a crucial role in building a comprehensive understanding of the person’s strengths and areas of difficulty.
The actual assessment usually takes between 2.5 to 3 hours, but it may take a bit longer for older students or individuals. It includes a series of tests to check:
For those aged 16 and older, the assessment can also help identify signs of dyspraxia or Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD).
This can take place in the students home or an office in Leicestershire.
